Uncle Bill.....Words can't express how great my mother, brother and I learned you are. Having only met you once made up for years. You will be missed. Your sense of humor, wit and charm fully lets me know that you are truly part of the family. You will be missed, until we see and laugh with each other again. (PS Proud to be your nephew!)

Dear Uncle Bill,
I have not seen you since my Dad's funeral(Lemmie "Steve" Chambers) We first met at that funeral and I will never forget seeing you and my aunts there for my Dad and my family.I remember how long that you and I talked and got to bond with each other and fill each other in on our perspective lives.I still have the paper that you gave me with your name, address and cell phone number on it, and I always laugh at how you and my Dad had the same handwriting.I pulled that piece of paper out today and realized that we are all cut from the same cloth. Grandma Effie.. Everything will be okay.."God never makes mistakes" I know that you have lost both of your boys, but I am here as Lemmie's spitting image(twin) and Uncle Bill's nephew.I love all of you so much...GEOFFREY TODD CHAMBERS

Dear Mom,
Words can't express how I feel about the loss of Bill. You and the family are always in my prayers, but even more so with his passing. I believe he is in heaven right now with his brother Lemmie, laughing and talking about the good old days.
Here is one of my favorite quotes "Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves."

I haven't seen Bill in many many years as we now live in Idaho but I remember him as a gentle sweet person. He was older than me, I went to school with Margaret...but I mostly remember our younger days skating at Skate Island. To the family, I am so sorry for your loss. I know he will be missed greatly.

I met Bill about 9 nine years ago through my sister, the mother of his son, Dante. I believe that he was one of the kindest, most wonderful people I have met. He was always willing to do what he could to help anyone who needed it. I remember him being a great dad and "uncle" to my children. He wil be dearly missed by everyone who had ever met him. My sincere thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Billy, I don't know where to start as our friendship started almost 50 years ago. We went to kindergarden, junior and senior high school together. We played flag football, baseball and went to Cub Scouts together. Your Mom was our Den Mother (Thank you Effie). In junior high your Dad gave you, my late cousin Randy, Dave Rittenhouse, Terry Brown and me a ride home in his red pick-up. What a thrill he gave us going over the BNRR tracks on 7th St (Thanks George). We stayed close after high school but our lives took their own paths the last 20+ years. But our friendship never changed. You stayed the same, a lifelong friend. For that I am eternally grateful to God! When I came home to GI the past years and ran into you at Conestoga Mall's Video Arcade, Country General, K-Mart or wherever I'll ALWAYS remember you approaching me with the outstretched handshake and Beaming Smile!

Billy, You were One of a Kind! I am Blessed to have called You My Friend! PEACE!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Bill Hunter. I met Bill when we were both working for Buck's Moving and Storage. I could tell after the first time I met him, that he was a very caring and kind man. He was a great listener and friend. He would stop by between his trips when he drove for Buck's just to hang out and catch up on what everyone was doing. I remember when he got his Lion tattoo and just couldn't wait to come over and show it off to everybody, he was so proud! I moved out of state and lost touch with him throughout the years but did run into him a couple of times at KMart after I moved back. He was still the same guy that I remembered, full of smiles and wanting to catch up on everything. What a tragic loss it is when someone is taken so suddenly. He will always be remembered as a great friend and as someone who has touched many lives.

To Bill & family,
I went to school with Bill and our 35 year high school reunion is coming up this summer, everyone will miss seeing Bill and his smiling face. I had lost touch with him over the years, raising children, activities, etc. Once in a while I would see him around town and always with a smiling face! I can see from the guest book he touched a lot of lives and in a very positive way. I will always remember my driver's ed class with "Bosco", Bill was in my class and he was great. May God Bless each of you with wonderful memories of your time with Bill. May God Bless you. Kim Mettenbrink

Bill was always willing to do anything asked of him when he worked with me at Kmart. Of course he would have to share his bowling scores from the night before(which were almost always GOOD). The only time I ever saw him close to being in a bad mood was when he had a tough night bowling and that wasn't very often. Hopefully there will be a bowling alley in heaven because you can be sure Bill will be there. The thing I will always remember about Bill was his big smile and his easy to come by laugh. He never came to work angry and he could get all of us at work in a better mood. I think I can speak for all of us here at Kmart that we missed him when he left and we will forever miss him now. To Bills family, you've lost a special person and Kathy and I will have you in our prayers.

I would like to express my sympathy to the entire Hunter family. I have pretty much lost touch with Bill since High School except for a few times at K-Mart and a few other occasions. What I remember most was our G.I. Senior High School gym class 2-mile relay team that we were both members of. I believe we had the fastest time of all the gym classes. Bill was always a kind special person whom I'm sure will be missed by all who knew him.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
