This morning we read the sad news of the death of William. Having known the loss of friends, siblings and parents, but never a beloved child, we send our sympathies in grief to all who loved him.

Dear Sallie, sorry to hear of the loss of your son. Years ago at the radio station, your face brightened with joy while speaking about your children. I am certain that Will felt your love throughout his life. Peace to the family.

Sallie, Eleanor, I am sad beyond words. Praying you find comfort that his suffering is over.

So sad to read of Will's passing. I remember when he turned 13 -- the year I joined the staff of The Courier-Journal in Louisville. May his memory be a blessing, and Sallie, may you find peace as well.
