With Bill's Birthday coming up, and a sweet email from my brother David, I reread these lovely messages left on this site. Thank you so much for recording what Bill's life meant to each of you. He is missed.

Cousin Linda posted a photo of Bill's Schwing family (mother was Gloria Mae Schwing), grandparents and grandchildren, 1960-something? I have never seen this photo and really appreciate this share!

Lisa and family, it was very sad to hear the news about cousin Bill´s passing. I will not forget the loving care Bill, you and Gloria gave to Karen, Debi, Dona and me at our brother Stan´s memorial. The memory of his life your family wrote was lovely and much appreciated.

Thought you would enjoy this photo of Billy with his cousins and grandparents. Billy is behind our grandparents. He will always be cousin Billy to me.

Sally Urena & I have so many great memories of Bill, and with Bill & Lisa and the kids Sarah & Jake. We were co-workers at Western Outdoors for over 30 years, we enjoyed working many fishing tournaments together, we enjoyed dinners, music events and other social events with him and Lisa. A lovely man, deep thinker, talented musician, great cook! and so much more. He was a blessing in our lives and we'll miss him very much. Rest in paradise, precious friend.

Sad to see this news - Bill was a great friend over the years at Western Outdoor News. We had a bunch of great outings, fishing and hunting. One particular dove hunt in Blythe stands out. After a late night, we drove out early Saturday morning to hunt the Dove Opener. Hunting a new area. we found a great spot where different fields met in 4-corners. It was ideal - there was a giant, massive eucalyptus tree that provided a great camp and, more importantly, shade, lots of shade. So, we set up our camp and proceeded to get a quick limit of doves, cleaned´em up, and ate´em for breakfast. After a nice three-hour nap we crawled out of our tents to do some more hunting, and while we were quite a distance away from the camp, we watched in amazement as a nasty summer dust devil headed straight for our camp, destroying both our tents and sending them 200 yards away scattering our pillows, sleeping bags and all of our belongings all over the farmer's field all the while the farmer was driving a tractor plowing under his crops. Let´s just say he had a great laugh, as did we gather up our mess. RIP Bill!

I worshiped with Bill at Image Church for a little over four years. He was one of the individuals who were quick to welcome me into the church when I joined. He was a pillar of that community, and his absence will be, and I am sure already is, felt.
