You will be missed by all the staff at the West Lafayette VA CBOC. So many times we say "Thank you for your service", and I wonder if there is enough sincerity in our voices when we say this to you and all our Veterans. You were a joy to take care of and as always an anticipated patient to be seen at your appointment times. We will miss your smile and the good hearted joking that we shared. Rest well my friend, and may you be joined in Heaven with family, friends and those who served with you. Warmest regards to the Family of Bill Kempf.

Bill gave my cousin Pat, his wife, what she had missed for many years in her life: joy, laughter, companionship, and love, as well as help when she needed it. I am grateful to him for loving her, her children, and her grandchildren, who became his as well. It saddens me that they did not have many more years together in their new home in Florida, where they both seemed to thrive physically and emotionally. Bill was a blessing.

My sincerest sympathy to you, Pat and the entire family. Bill was a truly honest and sincere person. He was so down to earth that a person would take an instant like to him. You are both very special people. Hold his memories close in your heart. To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.
