I was Bill's personal trainer the last few years of his life, If were to describe him in one word, that word would be tenacious. He worked very hard to hold on to what strength he had left. A friend of mine told me that Dr Bill saved his life. My friend thought his condition hopeless until Bill stepped in and took charge of his treatment. I have met very interesting people in my line of work but no one more tenacious, courageous and compassionate than Doctor William Kerr

William Kerr was one of the best physicians and physician educators ever. He was brilliant, caring and had unparalleled clinical judgment.
It was a privilege to know him as a medical resident and
latter in life as his patient. He will be sorely missed.

My deepest condolences to the Kerr family. Dr. Kerr my Dr. back in the early 1980's when I had a pituitary tumor removed at Evanston Hospital. He was a great Dr., he took his time and would explain things so that I could easily understand what was happening to me. I know he will be miss by all who knew him. Rest in Peace Dr. Kerr.
