Dear Maureen,
My sincere condolences.
I don’t know if you ever knew this, but Bill was responsible for me having a writing career. In the summer of 1963, I wanted to become a disc jockey. I was working at a pedestrian job and had no money. Bill was running a branch of the National Institute of Broadcasting; he helped me at no charge.
That fall, when a position came open for a copywriter at CKOY, he had me write a few radio spots. He told me they were better than some of the stuff he’d read by agency copywriters. He set up an appointment for me with Station Manager Jack Daly. I got the job, discovered I loved to write, and that ended my desire to be a d.j. I’ve managed to make a good living as a writer for the past 45 years.
I’m sorry I didn’t know about his passing at the time. My thoughts are with you and your family.
Sincerely,
leslie lucas

Maureen,
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you through this difficult time.
Our neighbourhood , extended community and our street will miss Bill’s presence. He has been such a role model to so many of us. I think back to the signs of early spring, knowing that summer is just around the corner as the pools starts to open, to the attentive yard work and the start of fall with the preparation for winter. It became clear that he enjoyed balance in life and lived each day to its fullest.
From our first meeting I was made to feel more than just a resident on a street. I learned the subtleness between a resident and a neighbour. He was to so many of us a teacher and the subtle things that I have picked up from him remain with me each day. His humour would become legendary and always there to put a smile on a persons face.
I feel that all of our lives were made the richer for his involvement and he will be missed in our neighbourhood.
Please accept my deepest condolences.

Maureen and Family, please accept my heartfelt condolences on Bill's passing.
I worked with him at CKOY radio. He was one of many who welcomed me when I first came to Canada - "how sweet the hours we once enjoyed, how sweet their memory still".
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I pray that God will bless, comfort, and strengthen you all. May he rest in peace.

I will miss the click, click, click from my computer of his almost daily barrage of some of the best jokes the internet has to offer, painstakingly filtered, to always leave you anticipating what he has found this time . . . long gone are the days of having to fax these jokes to his countless friends.
Six years at Ottawa Cable working for Bill in my twenties gave me the sales savvy and worldly wisdom to successfully move onto other things. Perhaps it was the mandatory weekly sales meeting in the OC Boardroom during which time he would listen with us to motivational tapes of Zig Zigler, Earl Nightingale and Reinhold Niebuhr, tapes which Bill probably had listened to so often he probably knew sentence by sentence but still enjoyed.
Bill shared much with us: like his reasons for becoming a swimmer. Who that has sat in his office can forget his spray bottle of eyeglass cleaner and his ritual of cleaning his glasses when speaking with you? Who can forget 'the voice?'
I am a better person for having met, worked and been mentored by Bill Kincaid. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Hello Maureen..My sincere condolences to you and your family on Bill's passing. Over the many years of contact with Bill he was always a very classy individual. It was a pleasure talking to Bill about anything but especially the broadcast and cable business where he made such an impact. Dear Maureen,
Bill lived, loved, laughed and cried, sang and then left. What he left matters. He joked, helped, encouraged and mentored with that Irish twinkle in his eyes. If you didn't get it, he wouldn't explain ... just smile. From our days together at CKPM in 1965 'til now, he was an unofficial big brother to me. Much loved, he died too soon. My thoughts are with you as always. We miss him too.

Hi: I am another one of Bills buddies from his days at the High School of Commerce and later we did a weekend show at CKPM to-gether. He always did his utmost to keep me in stitches and was usually very successful. Very good and funny friend. It seems like yesterday and obviously it was many years ago now. Rest now in peace,Billy.

I was saddened to hear of Bill's recent passing. Bill and I go back quite a few years from our working association at Skyline Cablevision to my privilege of working directly for him in the sales department at Ottawa Cablevision. Bill and I would often chit-chat on the loading dock at
OCL,exchanging jokes and stories and upon leaving would always tell me to keep my "powder dry". He was a fine gentleman and a great human being. To Maureen, his children and grand-children I offer my sincere condolences.

Dear Mrs. Kincaid & family
I was disheartened to find out of Mr. Kincaids' passing. I enjoyed him as a very lovely man with lots of stories to tell. He had a gentle personality and was a wonderful man to be around. I always enjoyed it when he came into the office; the both of you always brightened the day. I will miss him very much. There are just some people who light up the world around them and he was one of them. I pray that the days ahead will have enough joy to aford you and that it will hold you up in this difficult season. I pray God's peace as you grieve and miss him, but that you will always remember all the wonderful times you had as a couple and as a family. I will keep in touch to see how your doing.
