KISTLER
WILLIAM S.
Age 59, of Robinson Township, went peacefully into the arms of our Lord on September 27, 2016, in Family Hospice & Palliative Care, Mt. Lebanon. God carried him mightily through a courageous battle with metastatic lung cancer. Bill was born in Pittsburgh on March 29, 1957, the son of R. Drew and Mary (Simpson) Kistler. He grew up in Mt. Lebanon where he graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School in 1975 and went on to Lehigh University where he graduated with a degree in Finance in 1979. Bill began his career at The Union National Bank of Pittsburgh in the Investment Department. He moved on in June 1996 to take a position with Bill Few Associates, Inc. as Director of Research & Stock Portfolio Manager. Bill never considered his work a "job". He loved investments, his co-workers whom he considered "family", and derived much satisfaction in assisting clients in any way possible. Bill was also President and Trustee of the William G. and M. Virginia Simpson Foundation which Bill's grandfather, William G. Simpson, established to offer financial assistance for college scholarship recipients. Bill was an avid golfer and lifelong sports fan especially enjoying all the Pittsburgh sports teams. One of his most memorable trips was with his father-in-law, Andrew and brother-in-law, Jim in 1997 to play the great courses in Scotland. One of the highlights of that trip was the privilege to play the Old Course at St. Andrews. Bill was a season ticket holder for the Penguins and loved going to the games with his son-in-law, Norm. In addition to his parents, Bill is survived by his wife of over 35 years, Jamie (Innocenzi) Kistler; his beloved daughter, Brittany Dill (Norman #1 Son); two beautiful grandsons, Aiden and Lucas Dill, whom he referred to as his "Lil Buddies"; his sisters, Ginger Bean (Stu) and Sharon DeNunzio; his father-in-law, Andrew R. Innocenzi (Susan) and his brother-in-law, James A. Innocenzi (Lynn). As per Bill's wishes, there will be no public visitation. The HUNTSMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES OF MOON TOWNSHIP is in charge of arrangements. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service, celebrating Bill's life, on October 22, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Church at Grove Farm located at 249 Duff Road, Sewickley, PA 15143. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's honor to an organization close to his heart which is the Urban Impact Foundation, 801 Union Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. The family wishes to extend our heartfelt love and thanks to Dr. Vincent Reyes and his entire staff at the UPMC Cancer Center-Bethel Park, Dr. Robert Werner and his entire staff at the UPMC Cancer Center-St. Clair, St. Clair Hospital and the nurses and staff on 5G for their outstanding care and compassion, and Family Hospice & Palliative Care, Mt. Lebanon, with much love and thanks to Bill's nurse, Bonnie, and his aide, Flo. We experienced many Blessings in the Midst from everyone during the course of this journey and it meant everything to us. God bless all of you. www.huntsman funeralhomes.com.

Jamie and Brittany: We will always remember you and Bill Jamie and the wonderful time we had in Hawaii, in 1986, being on Dick Hatch show in audience, coming to your home, and just being with you. Two days ago I thought of you and Bill and so I tried to look you up on Facebook and couldn't find you, so I typed in Bill's name and the obituary came up. We were very shocked to say the least. Know that our prayers and the power of the Almighty one will give you comfort. It is so hard to lose a loved one. We love and miss you and though the years have passed we still think of you. Hoping we can reconnect sometime. Love you much. God Bless you and your daughter (who was little back then). Bill and Susan Bigelow.

To the Kistler Families:

Please accept my condolences and prayers. Bill was taken far too soon from us.

I am one of Bill's fraternity brothers from Lehigh. While Bill and I lost touch over the years I can still remember his smile. No matter
how stressed you were from classes his gentle spirit would make you forget all your worries. And that smile would charm anyone!

Bill is loved by all his brothers at Alpha Sigma Phi, BE chapter. I for one, miss him
more then words can say.

God bless,
Kess

To the Kistler Families:

Bill and I both grew up on Hoodridge Drive. He was my classmate from Foster Elementary School--where he was the heartthrob of every girl in our 6th grade class--all the way through high school.

He was handsome, kind and quiet; a nice guy. I was sure he would be successful in all his endeavors. Although I have not seen him since our school days, reading the obituary and what others wrote confirms the essence of the Bill I remember.

May the Lord shine favorably upon all of you as you savor his memories and heal from this great loss.

Jamie - please accept our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your husband, Bill. We were neighbors for a few years in Moon Township and even though we didn't know Bill very well - we know he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. May you receive comfort in your memories of him and may God provide you with strength in your time of need.

Jamie,

I'd like to share kind thoughts and prayers from those of us who were Bill's brothers at Alpha Sigma Phi at Lehigh University. The past couple of days we've been sharing memories of great times we enjoyed with Bill. I remember him as a kind person with a positive attitude and a smile on his face. He was someone whose company was always enjoyable. We are sorry at his passing and wish you and all of his family peace, comfort, and good memories of your life together. God bless you all.

Sincerely,

Jamie britney and family
You had been blessed with a humble good hearted husband and father . Bill will
Be missed by our family , his warm smile and kindness , he had a heart of gold. There will always be a part of him in our hearts when we look out our window there will always be a bit of sadness but we will know he is at peace and no pain with the Lord. He has probably already earned his wings with that heart with so much love for others . Please take care of yourselves as Bill would have wanted you to and know we will always be here if you need us. Our sincere sympathy and love to your family Jamie . You and Bill both have been brave and courageous through his battle and your love for Bill helped him through his pain and fight through his illness. As we know Love and faith in God can show us AMAZING THINGS. We love you and will continue to pray you have a peaceful way to remember all the wonderful times and love Bill had for you and can get through this very hard time with that love from Bill and the grace of God
