To Bill's family,

I am saddened by Bill's passing. I worked with Bill at Hughes in the '60s. I was assigned the Phoenix missile launcher as a systems engineer; Bill was the department manager responsible for the design and development. It was a pleasure to work with him. He was an excellent engineer and a wonderful person. He could solve the most difficult problems and do it with a smile. We shared many good times. I wish there was a way to lessen your burden at this time. My sympathies.
