William "Billy" Leonard

December 26, 1983 - September 26, 2024

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William "Billy" Leonard on September 26, 2024, at 2:24 PM. Billy was a devoted father, loving partner, and talented craftsman, whose legacy will live on in the lives of those who knew him. He was 40 years old.

Billy was the beloved son of Arlene Leonard and the late Brian Leonard. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, April Leonard, and their two children, Katrina and Peyton, who were the light of his life, as well as his two dogs, Harper and Evelyn (HIS girls). He was the cherished son-in-law of Bill Emmons and Susan Clark, and had two brothers by marriage, Troy Keeney and Billy Emmons. Billy was also adored by many nieces and nephews. His love and dedication to his family were unmatched, and his absence has left an immeasurable void in our hearts. Billy was known for his strong, comforting hugs, his captivating eyes, and his beautiful beard, which his wife and children cherished deeply.

An avid car enthusiast, Billy had a lifelong passion for antique vehicles, street rods, cars, trucks-anything with a motor. He found joy and peace in building and restoring them, often spending hours perfecting each detail. His pride and joy was his drag car, the Nova, which reflected his spirit and precision. Whether it was racing or working on his cars, Billy's love for the open road and the art of the engine was a defining part of who he was.

Those who knew Billy remember him as a man of great kindness, humility, and immense loyalty. His warmth, humor, and ability to bring out the best in everyone will be sorely missed. His passion for life and craftsmanship were contagious, inspiring those around him to see the world through his eyes.

This is a tremendous loss for our family, and we are devastated by his passing. His love, wisdom, and vibrant presence will forever be cherished in our hearts.

A celebration of life will be held on October 19, 2024, with details to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family in honor of Billy's memory.

Rest in peace, Billy. You will be forever missed, but your spirit will live on through your family, friends, and the vehicles you so lovingly brought to life.

I'll see you later, Babe.

Billy was a great father to his kids and a loving husband to my cousin and a wonderful friend. I remember when my 99 eclipse engine blew up and he helped me fix my car. I didn't know anything about replacing an engine but he thought me how to. The knowledge he had about cars was beyond amazing . He will be greatly missed rest easy my friend
