Growing up a couple of hours away from Indianapolis, I saw my Locklear cousins often. We always had a lot of fun together. I thought Billy was a sweet kid & we used to kiss each other under the ping pong table. This was pre-adolescent, and very innocent. Whenever I would talk about this time I would call Billy, my kissing cousin. He will be missed.

We all will miss Bill. He left a lasting mark on all of our lives. A good guy gone way to soon. Even though all of us went our own way in life. We always managed to get together throughout our lives. God had plans for you, even though we wish you were still here. The comfort and peace that you now enjoy is what we all can look forward to when our time comes

Deb and Lynn I am sorry for the loss of your brother Bill. I must tell you he was a more seasoned wrestler a year older than myself close to my 126# wt class, beating meet each time we grappled for Coach Morgan´s team. Bill was so compassionate toward me and truly made me a better wrestler in my one and only 10th grade year on the Warrior team. I´ll always remember his confident smile and willingness to help me with all the moves.
After that I went on to become a decent distance runner my next two years. Thanks Bill for being a part of my pathway in sports and fitness.

Growing up in Kansas City, my brother Jeff and I didn't get to see our Indianapolis cousins very often. But when we did it was always a good time until we got into trouble with the parents and aunts and uncles. I'd like to blame it on Bill, or maybe Bob, but there was something about being around cousins that brought out the orneriness in us all. God's peace to all of Bill's family.

I remember when I was really little, my dad gave me a piece of Trident gum. He loved trident! He kept telling me to not drop my trash on the floor. I just stared at him, opened my gum and dropped the wrapper on the floor!! His face! He was so mad at me! I miss you dad!

The last time I talked to Bill, we talked for almost 4 hours. We were laughing until we cried. Can´t tell you what we were talking about but it made us both laugh. I will miss you brother. Tell mom, dad and Keith I love and miss them too!

Bill made me laugh at so many of the shenanigans he would get himself into, but my all-time favorite was when he was working at a carwash while in high school and him and his co-worker closed the exit door only to hear banging and horn blowing. They'd shut someone in the carwash. Can you imagine? Needless to say, he lost that job. Still make me laugh!

I am saddened by the passing of cousin Billy. He and his siblings were a huge part of my childhood. Despite what the world has made of us, I will always remember our times together with joy.
