Add memories that will last forever

Not sure what to say?

Sad, sad, sad, sad, sad, sad.

Receiving this news today, I am sad.

Bill was a living poem by God Almighty,
and through his teaching and humanity, made me a better man.

I also celebrated holy laughter itself in his presence, often to the point of tears. In my tears now, I hear the echo of his laughter.

My sister, Darlene, a Myers Park HS classmate of Billy's, sent me the obituary. I am sorry I didn't know him better, but I do remember him. I send special condolences to his sister Ann, who was a dear friend of mine all through grammar school. I would love to contact Ann after all these years. If she sees this and would like to contact me, my email is [email protected]. Nancy (Hassler) Clemmer, Atlanta, GA

I am so very sorry to hear, last night, of Billy's passing. Wish I would have heard sooner and could have come to honor his beautiful life. The first time I met Billy I felt like we'd been friends forever. He made you feel that way, embracing you from the start with his magnatic personality. What an amazing man he was, and what a loving tribute his obit. was to him. My prayers will be with you, Cindy & boys, that God will grant you all much peace soon.

After reading the remarks in this Guest Book, there are no new words to say, so we will add our heartfelt condolences and love to all of the Mallard/Bickerstaff family. Mike has fond memories of being in the Press Box with Billy, Hollis and Bo, working the Lovett football games. Such a giant of a man. Lewis Grizzard has competition in Heaven in the Laughter Department.

Cindy, please accept my deepest and heartfelt condolences to you and your sons on your unimaginable loss. What an amazing man and beautiful spirit Billy was. I did not know Billy other than a quick introduction but, oh, he sounds like he brought such joy and happiness to the lives of those around him. I wish I could be there to offer my sympathy and love to you in person but distance and family situations will not allow. Please know how much I care.

Cindy, Rick and I are thinking of you and the boys.
Words are inadequate to express our condolences.
Billy will live on in the many, many people he touched just being "Billy". I continue to "put the whammy" on you and the boys. I am sorry to be so far away. Godspeed to you all!

It's hard to imagine a world without Billy Mallard in it. He was larger than life and made everyone he was with smile and laugh. He had a very special gift. He brought sunshine into a room when he entered. He will be missed by everyone he touched. It's sad to lose a close friend like Billy, but I smile to myself when I picture Billy up in heaven along side of John Head and Bob Shipman sipping on a scotch drink in a Tervis Tumbler. My heart goes out to Cindy and family for their great loss. You are in my prayers.
