William "Billy" Alvin Marks, Jr., 54, of Abita Springs, has passed away. Billy was born in New Orleans, LA, on March 16, 1964. He went to Holy Cross High School, where he played Tight End for Tigers Football. He served on the New Orleans Police Department and enjoyed his work as an electrician. Billy was a fisherman, had a passion for photography, and loved to travel. He is survived by his children: Rachel Marks O'Campo (Leo), Kourtney Bodden Barrilleaux (Jared), Kristin, William III, Brianna, and Samantha. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Lilliana, Jade, Sage, and Bree, and his sisters, Cheryl Marks Hayden (Channing Sr.) and Mary "Mandy" Marks Garcia (Kirt). Billy is preceded in death by his father, William Alvin Marks, Sr., and his mother, Rita Davenport Marks. A memorial service will be held at Celebration Church at 2001 Airline Hwy, Metairie, LA, on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the National Stroke Association.
