I am so sorry to hear this news. Bill was a wonderful man & horsemen. He was always there to lend me a helping hand when I was at the races. He was a gentleman and his integrity was unequalled at the race track. I will miss chatting with him & hearing his stories. God speed dear Bill, I will miss you.

Mr. McCarthy was a pillar among men. A true and honest gentleman, a dedicated husband, and father. He was an outstanding Trainer & Owner at PARX Racing and a man I could call "friend". He will be sorely missed by all who came in contact with him. I pray he is at peace and pain free and I ask that he look down on all of us with a warm smile. A Great Man.........taken way too soon.

Bill was my trainer for over 25 years, but more importantly he was my friend. A loyal and trustworthy man, who's word was his bond. Outstanding horse trainer, who developed Noble Maz into a 2-time stakes winning filly, who after her race career was over, became a stakes producing broadmare, Her son Noble Indy ran in the Kentucky Derby last year. I will miss "talking horses" with my long time friend and trainer Bill. God speed my friend!
