"Bill"
71, of South Waverly, PA, passed away May 31, 2009, at the Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca. He was elected to be a Business Representative for IAM District Lodge 58, Elmira, NY, in 1969. He went on to be the Directing Business Representative of District 58 in 1972 until retiring in 2001. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing at nearby Cayuga Lake in Ithaca, NY. Friends and family may call Thursday, June 4, 2009 from 3PM-6PM at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 5, 2009 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the: William McSparron Memorial Fund, Guthrie Federal Credit Union, 104 N. Elmer Ave., Sayre, PA 18840 (To educate and provide Automated External Defibrillators in more accessible locations.) I know it has been a long time since we worked at Futures together but when I saw the paper today I wanted to sign the quest book. I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Uncle Bill was a great man who cherished his family, and he was like a second father to my two oldest brothers Michael Gergel, Patrick Gergel. He was the first one to take me and his son hunting for the first time, something I will cherish forever.My prayers are with Aunt Faith, Cousins Ritchie,Vicki and Charlie.Uncle Bill I will miss you very much, and will never forget you.
