To My Brother's Family - You know Billy and I were 15 years apart in age. He was out of the house and married when I have my first memories of the house on Kings Highway West or summer times in Stone Harbor, at the Jersey Shore. We did not always see things in the same way and had our differences, maybe because we were so far apart in age. One thing I never told him when he was here, that when I was in Cub Scouts at age 8 or 9, and we had a Scouts Father and Son Banquet at the Church. Our Father was not able to take me, due to his condition. I am not sure whether our mother asked your father, to step in and take Grandpop's place, but he did. At the time I was so happy that I was able to go to my Father and Son Cub Scout Banquet, otherwise I would never have attended it. At that young age, I never thought or realized how to tell him how much I appreciated it. We were always raised that you do not express your feelings, which I am sure he would agree with me if he was here. That was an event in my life that I will always remember, even though I never told him such.

As I got older, I came to appreciate poems or "quotes" that I came across. I used to copy them and either have them professionally printed and framed and put them on the walls of my Funeral Home. When I sold the Barrington location, I sold it completely furnished. The only thing I asked for was that I take one of my wall hangings with the following quote. I still have it here in Florida. It is as follows: "For when the One Great Scorer comes to mark upon your name; It's not whether you won or lost, but how you played the game."

I know Billy played a good game, and maybe not always the winner, but has a score or 100. Thanks for being my brother and always there when I needed your help. Tommy
