Dr. William T. Mitchell Jr.

Bob and I send our deepest condolences to Rita and his children at the passing of Bill. We remember Bill as a neighbor. friend, outstanding physician, and loving human being. God be with all of you as you remember the many loving memories you had of Bill through the many years you shared.

Our sincerest condolences to you and your family. Dr. Mitchell (Billy) will be remembered by us as a superb pathologist and teacher. We both have many fond memories of our time spent with him at Ochsner. You and Billy are in our prayers.

Billy and Rita welcomed Myriam and I when we first came to Ochsner in 1960. He was one of my favorite colleagues at Ochsner Clinic. I consulted him in all the pathological problems I encountered in my Kidney Transplant patients. I will miss him and now I pray for his soul. May God give him Peace and rest.

So sorry that Bryan and I will not be there to celebrate Mr. Bill's life, but our thoughts and prayers are with you. Mr. Bill was such a kind and compassionate man, and he lived a very full life that I feel lucky to have been a part of.

Edwin and I were saddened to learn of Billy's passing. We are so sorry that we will miss the Service on Saturday as we will be out of town. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Rita, and with your family.

I admired Dr. Mitchell as an employer, teacher , and friend. I'm grateful to him for hiring me in the Cytology lab in 1968 and after a 19 year period of not working ,giving me the opportunity to return to my profession. Without his encouragement, I would not have ever returned to Cytology and spent another 19 years in the Ochsner Cytology Laboratory. Additionally, I considered him as a friend to all his workers. One special memory was the time he rode with me and Carmen Balbuena to be a witness for her as she became an American citizen. I spent many hours signing out with him and learning from his expertise. We were sad to learn of Billy's passing. We have many fond memories of OCHSNER social occasions with you and Billy. Unfortunately, we will be out of town this weekend and can not attend his service. But our thoughts are with you.
