William Nealon Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 13, 2025.
William Mitchell Nealon, 74, devoted husband, loving father, brother, uncle and friend passed away unexpectedly on February 3, 2025, in Jupiter, FL.

Born on June 30, 1950 to James and Muriel Nealon, Bill was raised in Schenectady, NY. He went on to earn a BS degree in Management and Computer Science from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA, graduating magna cum laude. He continued his academic journey at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY where he obtained a MS degree in Computer Science. His time at BC shaped not only his career but also his lifelong love of learning, his deep friendships, and his unwavering loyalty to BC Eagles football. His enthusiasm for technology fueled his endless curiosity, keeping him engaged with the latest innovations.

Over the course of his career, Bill worked in IT for several enterprises, and owned his own consulting company before moving to Palm Beach Gardens, FL with his wife Debbie where he continued to work for PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Salesforce consultant until his retirement in 2021.

Bill enjoyed living in Florida and being able to be active year round playing golf, boating on the Intercoastal, and playing croquet. He was a member of the PGA National Croquet Club where he served as President for two years and thereafter continued to support the club in maintaining the courts and croquet grounds.

Bill had a deep connection to his faith, dedication to family and friends, and a love of sports. He was a passionate fan of Boston College football and the New England Patriots. He enjoyed tailgating with great friends both in Boston and following the team around the country for away games. Bill was blessed with many cherished friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness, humor, and unwavering loyalty.

He always looked forward to the annual gathering of family and friends at Schroon Lake in the Adirondacks over the July 4th holiday. This was a tradition that started when he was a young teen, and continues to this day.

Bill shared his life with his beloved wife, Debra, daughter Kristina and her husband John Mattie, brother Christopher Nealon and his wife Danna and their family, sister-in-law Diane Peaslee, and many longtime friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Muriel Nealon.

Bill's warmth, humor, and generosity touched everyone who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, and may his family and friends find comfort in the cherished memories he leaves behind.

Memorial services to celebrate Bill's life will be private. Donations may be made in his memory at Barky Pines Animal Rescue & Sanctuary https://givebutter.com/8zhaVz, where he adopted his beloved dog, Papi.

I have known Bill since 4th grade at St. Paul´s grammar school where we were class mates and then thru Bishop Gibbons HS. He was always a great guy and ready to help and cheer for his friends. We remained friends and I got to see him once he retired to FL attending the PGA tournaments at his club.

I like many are shocked and sadden by his passing way too early in life. Rest In Peace Billy you were a great person and friend. He is in my prayers.
