William Neill III

As a former student and colleague of Bill, I think about him quite often and the legacy he left.
He was my mentor and friend for many years. Not only was he respected and admired by his
peers, but the man had no ego. I used to meet him often on Friday afternoons at the Kernan
campus for jogging and workout sessions. Afterwards we sat in his office to cool down and I
was continually amazed by the various private staff surgical specialists who stopped by to pick his brain. He had the funniest dry humor and quick wit, which required close listening to get
the nuance, keeping us all in stitches. He was especially admired by many of the old Colt players

To Bill Neill III's Family,

I am deeply saddened to hear of Bill's passing. I will hold his memory close to my heart because as a very young teenager, I was a patient at Kernan's PT Department after suffering two devastating knee injuries. I had three knee operations which required extended therapy. Not only was I able to walk again, but as an adult, I became a Firefighter/Paramedic. So this very young guy who was scared during a traumatic time in my life was cared for by a gentle caring man. May his memory be a blessing.

I can't believe he is gone. I just got the news. I worked with him for many years at Kernan. I know he will be missed by many who has known him over the years. My condolences to his family.

I am so sad to hear of the loss of Bill Neill. He was one of a kind and meant so much to many. My thoughts are with his family at this difficult time. He will be truly missed.

My sincere condolences to the family of Bill Neill. He will be missed by all in the Baltimore sports medicine community., and his legion of patients over the past six decades. He was my mentor and friend.

I was saddened today to learn of Billy Neill's passing. He was a great friend of my mother, his cousin. Although we lived in Nebraska, halfway across the United States they always kept up an annual correspondence and we visited whenever out travels took us near Baltimore. Condolences and sympathy from our branch of the Neill family in Nebraska.
