DR. WILLIAM THOMSOM NEWNHAM

My mother, Isabel Jones, was assistant to Mr. Newnham (as she always called him!) at Seneca for many years, and I was a student at Northview during his last months before he left for Seneca, so WTN had a huge effect on my life in many ways. He was and will continue to be an inspiration to 'achieve great things'. My sincere condolences to the family on the loss of this great man.

Condolences on the loss of your father. I remember him foundly from the Stiver House. He and your family were so good to my mom - she just loved being there.

Just wanted to share my remembrances of a wonderful family friend to my parents and family of Marg and Allan Patterson. We were fortunate to have Mr. Newnham as our principal at Northview Heights Collegiate Institute from 1960 to 1964. On Saturday August 23rd as we celebrated the 50th reunion of our graduating class, and not knowing he had died that day, we toasted a wonderful educator and a kind man. We are all honoured to have been his students. My sincere condolences to his family.

I can't remember another principal from my school years. I remember Mr. Newnham! He was special. My condolences to the family.
