William "Bill" Henry Nichols, born on July 14, 1945, in San Fernando, California, to the late Viola Drum Simeral and the late Charles Raymond Nichols, passed away peacefully at age 73 on August 10, 2018, in Reno, Nevada. William was the beloved husband to Mariana Sepulveda. He was preceded in death by his brother, Walter "Buzz" Nichols; and his sisters, Viola Modugno and Janet Arnold. William is survived by his children, his son, Charles Nichols of Wildwood, Georgia, his daughters, Catherine Richardson of Concord, North Carolina, and Suzanne Bohling of Brookfield, Connecticut; his stepdaughter, Amsha Morgan of Reno, Nevada; his sister, Charlotte "Char" Pettit of Carson City, Nevada; his grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Steven, Jessica, Amy, Sarah, James "JD", Taylor, Carlee; his step-grandchildren, Shayna and Dominique; and his great-step-grandchildren, Angelee and Ainslee.

The funeral service held on September 8, was officiated by Father Chuck Durante at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Carson City, Nevada. Goddaughter and niece, Sherry Wood, delivered his eulogy and expressed her love and admiration for "Uncle Bill", who had been like a father to Sherry and her sister Carolann Stanford.

William enjoyed boating and water sports, and he loved traveling. His favorite travel destinations included Catalina Island, the golden sand beaches of Puerto Vallarta, and exotic Singapore. He enjoyed planning and building the beautiful pond at his home in Yerington, Nevada, and he was always sure to help others anytime he had the chance. He had a great sense of humor, and he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved reading his Bible and sharing the Gospel with everyone he met. He has been an inspiration to us all, and he will be dearly missed.
