Fred, Joanne and Tracy, I just heard about Jamie´s passing. I am so sorry to learn about his illness. I had no idea. My thoughts are to all of you, His wife and children. I still remember that smiling face at Worcester Country School. He loved being on stage, and just seemed to love life to the fullest. My entire family sends their sympathy.

As a court reporter, my interactions with Mr. Nicoll were brief and rather superficial, but I always felt an energy about him that I liked and admired. I´ve wondered a number of times of late where Mr. Nicoll was, until a colleague sent me his obituary. I feel such loss for a man I didn´t know very well, but stood apart to me among the other attorneys.
I feel even more of a connection now, learning that he was from not only my hometown (OC) but also went to the same school - Worcester Prep. I regret not being able to share these similarities with him and wish I had known sooner.
I´m sending all the best and love to the family and just want you all to know that Mr. Nicoll clearly not only made an impression on people he knew well, but also those he didn´t - like me.
My thoughts are with you all and my sincerest condolences for your loss.

I am so grateful for how "out loud" Jamie lived, and that our family got to come along for many treasured parts of the ride. We loved a good conversation with Jamie, great meals, some friendly competition, his sage wisdom, his ability to listen carefully and love deeply, and still hold it lightly. He leaves an extraordinary legacy behind in his family. Jackie, Josh, Julia and extended family, we are lifting you up at this sad time and praying that memories offer comfort. Love, The Cavs
