I am sorry to hear of Mr. Nolan's passing. I share fond memories of the time and effort he spent entertaining us as kids - whether behind his boat on skies,camping out,etc. Please accept my sympathy.

I met Bill Nolan, Sr. in 1989, when the CFO of his self storage company, Neil Brown, called me in to help sort out a computer problem. It soon became clear that Bill Sr., as everyone referred to him, was the champion for implementing the self storage property management data base that is the subject of my work for him and his sons, from then until now.

At an age when most successful businessmen are working on their golf handicap or their tennis game, Bill was working to bring his company into the computer age and preparing it to support his as yet unborn grandchildren. In 1989, none of his six children was married, but he knew that there would be grandchildren, and he wanted to secure their future.

During my 20 year association with Bill Sr. and his family, I have always felt like a member of the family, and I have seen that they treat everyone who works with them in much the same way. I shall cherish my memories of Bill Sr., and my friendship with his children, for as long as I live.

Dear Pat, Bill, Mike, Tim, Stephen, Cyrena and Mary Katherine,

It's hard for me to remember a time when I didn't know the Nolans. It's harder for me when I know that we live so near and see each other so rarely.

Thanks be to God for the memories your father created for me as a young person.
