Hello Helen June 24/09

Our deepest symphony to you and families. We were shocked with the news of his passing. I will certainly miss Willy's (as I always called him) wit whenever he came into the office to see Dr. Spencer. His manner was always so quite whenever he spoke or kidded with me. I know you are going to miss him tremendously because he made you smile again. Just know that we are here for you whenever you feel the need.

Bill was my CO in Carp in 701 Comm Sqn in the late 60's. A good officer and a gentleman.

Dear Helen and Family,
It is with great sorrow that I heard of Bill's passing. We were together in NICS (CC) Carp for many years and I spoke with him often when he was the A3 in Pitreavie, Scotland. I always respected Bill's calm attitude and I was deeply in debt for his interest in my training and work. Always the gentleman we will surely miss him.
My sincere condolences to you and your family.

Hello Helen and Family

Was so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Shelley kept me apprised of his condition and told me the prognosis did not look good. It was probably a blessing that he passed away so quickly .... I know he did not want to linger and suffer. Will think of you often from out here in the West and no doubt will touch base again when I'm in Ottawa visiting.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I had the very good fortune to serve with Bill in Carp as part of NATO SATCOM. A first class gentleman all the time. My sincerest condolences to the family.

We were fortunate to have Bill as our friend for many, many years. He was a very gentle man and a gentleman as well. Rest eternal grant unto him O Lord for he was truly deserving.

I have many fond memories of Uncle Bill from when I was a younger and remember staying with him on a weekend visit to Ottawa many years ago. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of grief. May your memories bring you much comfort.
