LA, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember meeting your husband and daughters at one of our RAB meetings a while back when you were we going on a family trip. What a beautiful and nice family. You and your family are in our prayers. The RAB and all of us that have been privileged to work with you have you in our hearts. Oh Laura-Ashley. I am positively heartbroken for you and the girls. Words can’t express. But the love you have been lucky to share is equally difficult to describe. When the pain of loss fades, that love will still remain. Thinking of you.

Laura-Ashley, I can’t say enough about how sorry and heartbroken I am about Lloyd’s passing. I remember with such clarity when you met him. You and I sat just a few feet apart at our days at National Geographic, and we would talk about this tall handsome “guy” you had met at a wedding. It became so clear and so fast that you had found your soulmate. He was a gentle, artistic yet dashing man with the kindest heart— and he was smitten with you. This is a terrible tragedy, my prayers are with you and the girls.

I truly enjoyed working with Lloyd as he designed the Shreveport Dog Park on the riverfront. Our two legged and four legged friends will enjoy his legacy as he watches over us from above.

He designed our backyard to be a place of comfort with a fish pond and gardens - and I will always remember him each time my wife and I relax in the oasis he created. Dear Laura Ashley, you may not remember me but I wanted to reach out. Although I have not lived down south in 23 years, I have never forgotten you. My parents, who still live in Shreveport, sent this notice to me and I wanted to reach out. I’m deeply sorry about your loss. I’ve never forgotten our friendship and am here if you ever need anything. Your family is in my deepest thoughts. Life is hard and always throws something new at us.
