So sad to learn of Bill's passing. He was a powerful force for saving and protecting Florida's environment. He is an example of how one person can truly make a difference.

Bill often mentioned how you saved his life, Eloise, and how much he loved and admired you and your beautiful children and family. He was truly blessed to have found y'all and taken into your fold. May God bless you all in your grief and help you remember your glorious times together.

I remember those great days when you and my brother , Irby Pugh were both involved in the Cross Florida Barge Canal. Also the parties we all enjoyed at Irbys house with your wonderful Mom. You have an honored place at Natures table! My condolences to your family and especially Dave.

Bill made an important contribution to our state and community and by his lively mind and wit enriched those of us fortunate to know him. I will miss him and extend our sympathy to his family.

We will miss Bill's energy spirit and humor here at the Crosby YMCA - when was such a constant and positive part of our culture. Rest in peace Bill.

Thank you, Bill Partington, for being a fierce advocate for Florida's environment and for the role you played in getting the Florida Native Plant Society up and running. Your words expressing concern for activism and desire that FNPS be more activist continuously run through my mind. Rest in peace and our warmest regards to your family.

Bill was a tornadic force for the environment. With an ironic sense of humor and as an excellent writer he taught,cudgeled, and led people along the way. He will be missed.

Bill, you will always be remembered for being hard working, funny, and inspiring to other people in their conservation efforts. You knew how to enjoy life and pursued your keen interest in nature until the very end. You have left a rich legacy behind with people that will continue to the good work you started.

My sincerest condolences to your family and loved ones during this sad time. May they find comfort in your happy memories with them for years to come as they heal from your loss.
