Dearest Gail and family, SO sorry to have just learned of the passing of your wonderful father. He influenced many, many people in countless positive and loving ways. That is a life well lived, and he lives on in you. My deepest sympathy, Patty (Gats) Avallone

Annette and I send our condolences. It has been a great honor to be next door neighbors for 37 years. God's Blessings to Bill's soul and to his loving family.

Please know that all of us that grew up across the street at the Alfredo House were sorry to hear of your loss. Bill said he always liked your Dad and was sorry to hear of his passing. But also thought what a long life he had and that was great. Donna said to tell you she was sorry to hear of your loss also. Please know that we think a lot of the Pasterczyk house and we were glad to know Mr. Pasterczyk as well as all of you. May you take heart in knowing he was a good man
and a gentle soul. We wish all of you comfort.
Sincerely,
Debbie, Donna, and Bill Alfredo

I grew up across from the Pasterczyk's and was best friends and still am with their daughter Karen. We were always back and forth to one another's house. We had a great neighborhood to grow up in and we had a tight knit block. I will remember at that time all the Dads would be working on their yards. Most of them would be raking up the leaves. Playing on the block I will always remember him using the big leaf blower cleaning the yard. I don't remember anyone else having that machine. It was awesome. I remember him to be a patient man and I remember his smile and the twinkle in his eye. He always said hello to me when I visited and he would smile. He was a soft spoken man that seemed pretty patient. He was an intelligent man. A man who could understand Chemistry and taught it at DePaul. That was quite impressive. He lived a long and wonderful life thanks to the great care of his family. He will live on in the memories everyone has of him. So remember the good times and the long life he had at 99 years and let go of the sad times when he was so sick. And I have no doubt he is up in Heaven smiling with that twinkle in his eye.
