Bill and Family sorry for your loss. I remember spending a few late night with Nev and him just talking the browns. I saw a story about him a little while back. It brought back some good times. May he rest in peace.

I remember him in his navy uniform and at the dance when you met him. You were 15-16 years old. Those awful days at our uncles house. But something wonderful happened when you met him, and you enjoyed so many wonderful years together. David is with him now, in the arms of our lord and we will see him , David, mom and ba, Phil and all our loved ones, with me mostly Ray. May peace and understanding comfort you!

My family and I are greatly saddened by Bill's passing. Unfortunately, we didn't find out until after services had been conducted.

As a regular customer of The Headliner for almost 20 years, I would see Bill 5-6 days a week and we became good friends. He and Bill Ameen helped stop me from becoming a drunk at best and an alcoholic at worst. I was angry with them at the time but soon came to understand that had they not considered me a friend they wouldn't have taken the steps to save me that they did. For that, I will be forever grateful, indebted to both Bill's.

My kids remember Bill and the Budweiser light that hung over the center of the bar at the Headliner that Bill would turn on just for them whenever I brought them to The Headliner.

May his spirit, his soul rest forever in peace. He will be remembered with fondness and respect.

I believe in my heart, he was there to see you at The Rainbow BridgeMay the light you've shown us all, grow brighter in each of us. Your dedication to your family, friends, and community you have touched will always remember your heartfelt joy and love. I was fortunate to be there since 1980, when I met David, and totaled your car,back in The Headliner,days, downtown Cleveland, Papo's at Avon Plaza, and to see your exceptional example of a beautiful father, husband to Lil, and a really great man. So full of energy, and excitement for life! David is not here to write what would have been so much more beautiful than I write, so I can only say how much I know David talked to me about you, here at home, in Burbank, and held you so very dear in his heart.

God Bless you Pop! It's comforting to know that David is with you now. Peace be with you both. You so loved your family, and constantly showed your live and support to everyone, especially David and I here in California. I have beautiful home movies of Lil and Pop when they were here in Burbank, all those summer trips to see us. God Bless the family, as David would say, "Pop was his Rock."
