I went to PVH, 1967 - 1971, with his father Van. Sorry very sorry to read of his son's death so many years prior!

I saw online that today is the anniversary of Bill's death in 2007. I worked with Bill at the (now long gone) Borders in Evanston and eventually hung out with him from time to time after I moved to the city. He remains one of the most vivid personalities I've ever encountered, and that's saying something. A true and natural-born artist, he was a volcano of ideas, witticisms, quips, and projects. What I remember best was his wit--he was hilarious, even behind the info desk in a book store. I still miss him.

Marlene and Van:
We are all broken hearted and will remember Bill. I am so grateful he was a part of my life and my son's Michael. I don't know what we will do without him. He is my second son and Michael's brother. Thank you for sharing Bill with us.
Deepest Sympathy, Karen Peirson (Pruznick)

i met bill in 1990. he was the first person i befriended in chicago as well as one of the greatest people i would meet there. we played a lot of music together and had a lot of laughs when we weren't having intense intellectual discussions about art, music and society. throughout the '90s we continued to collaborate on various artistic projects and always stayed in touch. bill was one of the most energetic, dynamic artists i have ever met and he was constantly inspiring, devising the most amazing concepts. he will be missed. even though he is gone, his ideas and energy remain.

I was shocked and saddened to hear this news.
Bill was a friend of mine and we played in a band together. His art inspired me, the music he came up with made me think about music differently, and he had a great sense of humor.
I also remember the kind words he sent my way a couple of years ago when there was a loss in my family.
To Bill's family, please know that you are in my thoughts, and that I am so sorry for this loss.

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
