JERRY NOYCE
June 22, 2022
Eileen and Family, Jane and I were so shocked and saddened to hear yesterday of Dave's passing.
Dave was a special friend, our best man at our wedding and my best friend in high school.
He and I spent many wonderful hours together on and off the tennis court as doubles partners and friends.
We are so thankful we were able to see each other a few years ago when our high school team went into the Evanston High School Hall of Fame.
Dave epitomized dedication, hard work, friendship and strong values to all of us that knew him. We will miss him deeply but know that this is a blessing that he does not have to experience the difficulties alzheimer's presents.
All our love.

Dave and I became friends as we were both college tennis players at the same time. We were both competitors playing against each other and doubles partners after college on the National tennis circuit. One year we were ranked #5 in Men´s doubles in the U.S.and played doubles together for several years. We became close friends, so much so that he was my best man at my wedding in 1968. David was a kind, gentle and unpretentious person and on the court he was a fierce and respected competitor.
It was my honor and privilege to have know and been a close friend of his in our early adult years. Our paths in life took us in different directions during most of our adult years but I was glad we were reunited and got to see each other several times in Atlanta.
My sincerest condolences to Eileen, their children, and extended family.

In one short summer (1959) I watched Dave go from a "so so" sophmore high school tennis player to a "force". We won the State title the following year. Rest easy Dave...Stu Opdycke ETHS 1960
