William Lewis Rater

William was born on April 12, 1932 and passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017. William was a resident of Monon, Indiana at the time of passing. He graduated from Pulaski High School in 1951. Bill served in the US Army during the Korean War. He is survived by: Eileen Kay Koebcke Rater, Monon, IN Wife Victor (Charlotte) Rater, Monon, IN Son Mitchell Rater, Monon, IN Son Shelly Steinkamp, Monon, IN Daughter 4 Grandchildren: Billy, Steven, Toni and Colson 11 Great-Grandchildren 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren Ann Rater Cowger, Sister Minnie Rater Ledford, Sister Mary Catherine Fitz Becker, Sister Wayne (Judy) Fitz, Brother Several Nieces and Nephews Preceded in death by: John and Leila Rater, Biological Parents Wayne Wood and Mary Catherine Fitz, Parents Anthony Thomas Rater, Son Lorna DePoy, Sister Alberta Smith, Sister Gertrude Smirniotis, Sister John Rater, Brother Bob Rater, Brother Visitation will be from 3-8 PM EST Monday, November 20, 2017 at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Francesville, IN. Services will be held at 11 AM EST Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Francesville, IN with Pastor James Ketchen officiating. Burial will take place at Roseland Cemetery in Francesville, IN. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Francesville First Christian Church.
