William Robertson IV Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 13, 2024.
William "Billy" Robertson IV, 50 years of age, passed peacefully in his sleep on February 9, 2024 in Naples, Florida. Billy was born December 14, 1973 in Carnegie, PA to William and Jean "Penny" Robertson, the second of four children. He attended Canevin Catholic High School before graduating from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in Computer Information Systems.

He is survived by his former wife Tracy Beresford and his beloved son, William Robertson V, his father, William Robertson III, mother, Jean (Gerald) Bates, and sisters: Anna (Joe) Durante, Elizabeth (Niels Bodenheim) Robertson, Jean (Brian) Schieman, and several nieces and nephews.

Billy found joy in collecting and trading baseball cards, engaging in the stock market, cooking culinary treats, and basking in the warmth of the Florida sunshine. He had been residing in Naples, Florida with his father. He had a deep passion for mathematics which fueled his intellectual pursuits. Billy will be remembered fondly by family and friends that knew his kind soul. He was a person of immense potential, with a vibrant personality and compassionate heart. May he find peace, and may we find solace in the memories of Billy's laughter, love and light.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness, www.nami.org. There will be a private service held in Pittsburgh to honor the life and lasting legacy of Billy Robertson on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 2pm-4pm.

Penny & family,
My heart breaks for you and your family. Through contact with Billy these last few years, Billy and I shared his feelings of his love for his family, friends (past and present) and especially his Son. He was truly a loving, caring person. He will be missed by so many on this earth, but I believe that he is in Heaven with God; he is truly at peace and his friends have welcomed him HOME with open arms.
Blessings to all,
Janet Hinkle and family

Oh Dear Bill, can you see Me now? I am Myself like You somehow? I´ll ride the wave were it takes Me..?
You were not just a Friend but a Childhood Friend that I will forever Love and hold You in My Heart. The memories of Our Childhood Days-Sleepovers, throwing snowballs from between Your Parents House and Grams. Thanks To Your Mom, Dad, & Sisters for putting up wi/ those mischievous boy´s behavior. Playing all the Sports outside around the Neighborhood like whiffleball at Jackies (Butch) Football at St. Simon/Foxcroft Schools or shooting hoops. I will be forever grateful to have grown up in times where building those Childhood memories with Friends like You will forever be a part of My Heart & Soul. You were ONE of the SMARTEST, FUNNIEST, CARING People & Friend. I Thank You for that. I Love You Billy, RIP, As the Sun goes down today nothing gold can stay, Stay Gold Billy, Until We meet again, all of My Love, Your Friend, Chad.
