I went to school with Bill from Kindergarten through eighth grade. He was a most interesting and unforgettable person to everyone who had the pleasure to know him. Whoever composed that obituary captured the essence and spirit of Bill Ronchi. It was an honest and inspirational tribute to a really outstanding man.

I first met Bill in kindergarten at Mulenburgh School. We were friends until college and in the last few years reconnected on FB. Definitely a strong guy. I will miss him.

What can you say about a man who fought courageously all his life on the inside and exuded warmth, charm and nothing by human kindness on the outside. Cousin Bill will truly be missed by all of us who grew up in our close knit family. So many great memories and he was always there with a gigantic smile right in the middle of the action. Rest In Peace Bill.

Bill was as close a friend as I have had. Our friendship dates back nearly 50 years where we attended UW-Green and were roommates for 2 years of them. We shared a strong interest in radio and became the first radio broadcast team for the UW-Phoenix men's basketball team on the college student radio station WGBW. We were young, raw and not very good, but we had a blast calling the games for the Phoenix. We actually broadcast the NCAA Division 2 Regional Championship game from Grand Forks, ND in 1976. Bill was one of my groomsmen and over the years we shared many exchanges related to the Packers, Brewers and Bucks, all of which he was an avid fan. He frequently spoke fondly of his family and his love for Scranton. We were hoping and planning to meet again soon after his rehab and return to Scranton. My thoughts and prayers to all of Bill's family and friends. I am sorry I will not be able to attend his memorial or Mass, but he will be in my prayers. I am going to miss my dear friend very much.

The quiet, awesome courage of Billy Ronchi. He shared the finest qualities of human nature with everyone. Few could resist his warm, affable and sincere charm and fewer yet, would ever know of the awesome courage, he kept quiet inside, to survive. Rest In Peace, Billy. My sincere condolences to the Ronchi and Minora families.

I am so saddened by Bill’s passing. Our childhood name for Bill comes to mind and makes me smile “ Wild Bill Ronchi”. He received that name at the park either on the dodgems or little race cars. My Dad used to call him that.
Bill always leaned to the lighter side of life, telling a joke or bringing out the humor in a situation. I remember his smile and chuckle. I remember his eyes searching your response to a comment he made. Bill was a sensitive man with a wise soul who had endured many difficulties physically starting at birth. This , I believe shaped his character. I will remember him very fondly. He will be missed as part of our earthly family. Rest in peace Bill and my heartfelt sympathies to his brother Bob and family. ❤
Lots of love , Cousin Susie and family

William (Bill) RonchiNovember 23, 2021 The strongest guy I ever knew. No one would have taken a bet that Bill Ronchi would live to 69… or 50, or 35, or even 20 years. Born with a grave health condition, it was expected that he would live to... Read William Ronchi's Obituary
