William Sauls Obituary

Mr. William Henry "Bud" Sauls, age 85, a resident of Carolina Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and formerly of Wilson, departed this life on Thursday, December 6, 2012 in Jacksonville, NC. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, December 15, 2012, 12::00 pm, at the Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 726 Tarboro Street SW, Wilson, NC. Minister Jesse James will officiate. The burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery, Veteran's Section.

Mr. Sauls was born September 11, 1927, in Wilson County, NC, to the late Eddie and Evaline Sauls and was educated in the Wilson County School System. An honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army, he moved to Long Island, NY, where he resided for over 50 years. During that time, he worked for the US Postal Service, and later, at the Smithtown Sanitation, Kings Park, NY.

"Bud" was preceded in death by one son: Sebastion Sauls of Brentwood, NY; two brothers: Eddie Lee Sauls and Jimmie Sauls of Wilson, NC; three sisters: Evella McCoy of Wilson, NC, Ruth Williams of Hamden, CT and Queen Morris of Hunting, NY.

Precious memories will be treasured in the hearts of three sons: William Sauls, Jr.,(Christine) of Columbia, SC, Lawrence Sauls (Harriet) of Jacksonville, NC, and King Sauls (Margarita) of Bronx, NY; three daughters: Jacqueline Sauls of Wyandanch, NY, Andrea Sauls Morrison (Victor) of San Antonio, TX and Sherry Sauls Adams (Kenneth) of Rock Hill, SC; seventeen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; a very special sweetheart, Alice Dunlap of East Northport, NY;

The body may be viewed Saturday beginning at 11:00 am at the Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
