Though I did not meet Bill, I was an internet friend and relation! Though our connection to the O'Neill and Sheridan families, we puzzled over family relationships during the last couple of years. This was an interesting hobby we shared. My sister's middle name is Sheridan, so we are reminded of and will keep your family in our hearts.
Janet, Barbara, Steve, Bill .. great grandchildren of Mary Sheridan plus Suzanne her granddaughter.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I've many fond memories of Bill both as a teacher and as a sales rep. Myself and others, I'm sure, can't help but think of him and smile. That in itself is a great legacy. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Aunt Kay Tim and Jeff. I am so sad to hear of your loss, my Uncle Bill. Regretfully living life day for day as we all do, I must admit that I was unaware of the seriousness to his condition. The last time I visited with Uncle Bill was during my Uncle Bill Bowens Funeral. Uncle Bill Sheridan and I spoke at great length that day and I will cherish my last conversation with him. I will remember my Uncle Bill as being a caring, compassionate, and brilliant man. Kuddos to you Uncle Bill... I will always admire and love you forever! Ron Gibbs

I am so very sorry for your loss. I too will really miss him. Although we hadnt spoken in a while, Bill and I were very close in spirit and friendship. His love of life, laughter and the absurd as well as his story telling kept me rivited for many hours. I treasure our memories together and i know that he is now with the infinite love of the universe. A place we talked about many times. Much love and blessings Nicola Lawrence James

My deepest condolences to everyone in the Sheridan family. I am so, so sad to hear that Bill is gone. I will miss him greatly. Bill was one of the warmest people I have ever known. He had a truly open and generous spirit, which made him a great listener. His unique outlook and perspective on life was always refreshing to encounter.

I first meet Bill in the faculty lounge when he had been hired to teach a course that was previously mine. I was not very happy about it and let him know on the spot. Later that night he phoned me to talk about the course and instantly there was a rapport. I knew he could be trusted.

We had numerous conversations over the years about life in general and Bill always made me feel better about many situations, seeing the hard reality and the humour at the same time. I always enjoyed my time spent with Bill and welcomed his roaring laughter as his listened to my stories. I will miss his laughter, his smile and positivism--but won't forget.

I feel very fortunate to have known him.

Sincerely
Mary Traill
