WILLIAM SHOPIK Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Bill Shopik announces his passing on May 1, 2013 at the age of 85 years.
Bill was predeceased by his wife, Lucille,
of 53 years.
He is survived by his children, Tim (Lorraine), Leah (Susan), Randy, Kevin (Lorie) and Wendy (Bruce); grandchildren, Leslie, Leisia, Will, Jonathan, Katie, Jeff, Marc, Garrett and Kim; two sisters, Lovetta and Pearl as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. at St. Michael-Resurrection Parish, 10555 - 50A Street, Edmonton on Monday, May 6, 2013. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael-Resurrection on Tuesday, May 7, 2013.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 10985 - 124 Street, Edmonton, AB, T5M 0H9.

Shopik children and Families -
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. It was a blessing that Bill had a peaceful death. Bill and I had a special bond - we married into the Mason family in the same year, 1950, and our children were about the same ages. We shared many happy experiences in their childhood and later in their life work. Bill and I always had a big hug at the Mason gatherings. I know that all the happy memories will help you at this time. He looked so good at his big 85th birthday bash and was so proud of all of you. Sorry I can't be with you at the funeral. Love to all of you, Auntie Anne

My condolences to the Shopik family.May you be blessed to know that Bill was well respected and liked by his co-workers.After his retirement Bill would often come to visit me at my office at the AG Shops and I truly enjoyed them.He always talked about his family and how proud he was of them.He was an excellent tradesman and a good friend.
