William D. Sinclair FRAMINGHAM William D. Sinclair, age 70, a longtime resident of Framingham, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at Metrowest Medical Center, Natick. He was the husband of 39 years to Virginia S. (Mouradian) Sinclair of Framingham. Born in Somerville and raised in Waltham, he was the son of the late G. Graham and Lydia (Dyer) Sinclair. Mr. Sinclair was a graduate of Waltham High School, Class of 1954. He was a member of the Massachusetts National Guard prior to joining the Weston Fire Department in 1963. Mr. Sinclair had extensive fire science and firefighting education. He was a charter member of the Emergency Medical Technicians in 1974, a member of the Weston Firefighters Relief Association and the International Association of Firefighters. He served the Town of Weston for more than 39 years as a captain and EMT until his retirement in 2002. Mr. Sinclair was a Boy Scout and one of the first in the state of Massachusetts to earn the Eagle Scout Badge. He was also a member of the Order of DeMolay and achieved Chevalier status. He also worked for many years as a master marble and tile contractor. Besides his wife, Virginia, Mr. Sinclair is survived by two daughters, Cynthia (Malcomb) Laird and her husband, Andrew, of Southborough and Brenda (Sinclair) Cotoni and her husband, Richard, of Marlborough; four grandchildren, Dylan and Haley Laird, both of Southborough and Jason and David Cotoni, both of Marlborough; one great-grandchild, Toby Cotoni of Marlborough. He is also survived by three sisters, Susan Eastler of Farmington, Maine, Nancy Pearson of Naples, Fla., and Sharon Williams of Falmouth; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Tuesday, March 25, at 10 a.m., at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 3 Maple St. (Main St. at Buckminster Square), Framingham. Burial will follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham. Visiting hours at the Norton Funeral Home, (www.nortonfuneralhome.com), 53 Beech St. (corner of Union Ave), are Monday, March 24, from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 1131, Fairfax, VA 22038-1132.
