In Loving Memory of William James Skraba

March 28, 1961 - February 3, 2025

With profound sadness, we share the passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and grandfather, Bill Skraba of Minneapolis, who left this world on February 3, 2025, surrounded by those who loved him most. Though he was a man of few words, his actions always spoke louder than anything he could have said. He showed his love through quiet sacrifices, unwavering support, and a constant presence that brought comfort to those around him.

Bill spent his life working with his hands, building and creating as a skilled machinist. He took pride in his craft, dedicating himself fully to his work and setting an example of patience and perseverance.

Outside of work, he found joy in the open road, riding his motorcycle whenever he could. He valued time with family and friends, preferring simple moments over grand gestures. In his quieter hours, he could often be found watching Westerns, drawn to their stories of resilience and grit-qualities he carried within himself.

More than anything, Bill was devoted to his family. He was a loving husband, a proud father to his two daughters, and a grandfather who adored his grandchildren. He may not have spoken often about his feelings, but his love was always clear in the way he cared for those around him.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Dennis. He is survived by his devoted wife, Pam; his loving mother, Nancy; his sister, Kate(John); his brother, Steve; his two daughters, Allison(Chris) and Jennifer; his niece, Kaylyn; and his three beloved grandchildren, Lillian, Penelope, and Chaske. His family will forever carry his love, strength, and wisdom in their hearts.

Though words may fail to capture the depth of our loss, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit will always be with us-on the open road, in the hum of a well-tuned machine, in the echoes of an old Western film, and in the love he so selflessly gave.

Dad, your actions told us everything we ever needed to know-you loved us deeply, and we will love you forever. Godspeed and rest easy.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held on June 21st at his home.
