Ed, Judy, Marin & Snyder Family,
So sorry to hear of your loss. I know how hard it is to say good-bye but you have to believe that he is in a much better place and that God has a special plan for him now in Heaven. Hold on to all of your memories with all your heart and soul. Love You More!

Ed, Judy, Marin & Snyder family;
It is always hard to say good-bye to our precious loved ones. Hold on to the fact that he is not gone he has just traveled on to another city. He is in the Father's arms as are all of you. You are being held together and are closer than you realize. Rest in His blessed assurance that all is well. As the song says.....I can only imagine what it will be like when I walk by Your side. I can only imagine what my eyes will see when Your face is before me. Surrounded by Your glory what will my heart feel.....what we can only imagine your Dad is seeing and the Father has said to him, "Welcome home my child."
We love you and you are in our prayers and forever in our hearts. ~

My father (Dr James Harper) and Dr Snyder were life-long friends, both families having a shared history dating back several generations between them. Together they attended Pomona College and Baylor Medical School and remained close throughout their lives. I was fortunate to have stayed at Dr Snyder's Estes Park retreat and am deeply grateful for his kind hospitality. Our prayers and thoughts remain with the entire Snyder family.

Dr. Snyder performed my thyroidectomy in June 1999. Never have I met a more caring physician. He comforted not only me but also my family during a very anxious time. What a tremendous loss his passing brings.

He left the world a little bit better place and his passing will leave it a little worse off. He was truly a giant among men, and I will miss his collegiality, warmth, and animated discussions about conservative values. May God welcome him into the eternal peace of His kingdom and provide his family with the strength to endure the unendurable. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Snyder family. Frank & Pat Wians

I am so grateful to have known Dr. Snyder. He was truly one of a kind. I was, like all who were blessed to know or work with him, a better person for having known him, witnessing his work ethic, integrity, wisdom and genuine kindness. He gave of himself without effort and inspired profound loyalty in all who knew him. What a legacy he has left. I know his family is so proud to call him theirs.

Dr. Snyder was the one who, years ago, offered to my Mom and Dad to host me at Parkland to see some medical work. I spent 3 days there in August 1981. It was absolutely that experience that made me want to become a physician, and beyond that, made me want to do it at Parkland. It was a point of personal satisfaction for me ultimately to be successful there in med school and show his faith in me and help in getting started had been right.

It was also satisfying to get to know him and his world from within his world, or at least close (I wasn't a surgery resident, but I knew a good number of them eventually.) He was a mentor and teacher of great value, greatly appreciated, first and foremost, by those residents-- they loved his no nonsense, no frills but no shortcuts, problem oriented, nuts and bolts ways. Always honest, never with drama, and always happy to be in that realm, which is why he never retired. His trainees, among many others, are very large ripples he sent out. They will continue outward far, far into the future.
