Dr. Spencer was my doctor, boss and friend. He taught me much, and challenged me to reach farther than I could see or touch. In many ways he was a man ahead of his time. His intelligence, passion, curiosity, commitment and dedication to the less fortunate among us was exemplary. He was endowed with much, and used it largely for others. Men of the stature of Bill Spencer are few and far between. I shall treasure his memory.

I have been a patient at TIRR and have benefitted greatly from the work of Dr. Spencer. I know many others who owe so much to his exceptional vision of rehabilitation for severely injured persons. What an incredible man to be so dedicated so that the disabled may use "the tiniest strengths for the greatest purposes."
