William P. Sperry

William P. Sperry 1911 - 2006 Husband, Father, Professional Driver, Veteran, Historian, Humorist, Traveler, and Arizona Native. Bill Sperry, 95, died in Phoenix, Arizona on November 5, 2006. He was born in Bisbee, Arizona on August 24, 1911 and came to Phoenix at the age of sixteen to work. He drove for Greyhound Bus Lines for 32 years, Retired. President, Greyhound Armour Credit Union 1970-1982. He loved to travel and drove tour buses, sometimes as far as Alaska. A great storyteller and writer, often published in Arizona newspapers. Married 65 years and is survived by his wife Lucille and his son Bill. A daughter, Linda, died earlier. We will miss and remember his wit, humor and insight. He was a man who lived his life on the high side of the road.
