William Stuart Obituary
Bill was a fun-loving person who enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. He had a passion for sports and was a loyal supporter of the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Gators, and the Jacksonville Suns. Bill was known for his enthusiasm and unwavering support for his favorite teams.
He is survived by his son, Grant Stuart, his brother Rick Stuart (Kathy), his sister Nancy Stuart Douglas (Alan), many nieces and nephews, and his longtime girlfriend, Christine Baker. Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Clare Lawson Stuart, and his father, William Joseph Stuart.
In terms of education, Bill attended Ruth N Upson Elementary School and John Gorrie Middle School. He later graduated from Robert E Lee High School.
Throughout his career, Bill worked at various companies, but he often spoke fondly of his time at Dixie Egg Company, Jiffy Food Stores (as a manager), 7 Eleven (as a District Auditor), and Battery Depot (as a store manager), where he eventually retired after more than 20 years of dedicated service.
Bill was a member of Avondale Methodist Church, where he found solace and community. His faith played an important role in his life.
In his free time, Bill enjoyed grilling, golfing, and fishing. He also made a positive impact on the community by coaching little league baseball at Murray Hill Park. One of his favorite vacation spots was Disney World, where he created cherished memories with his loved ones. Bill had a soft spot for family pets and always held a special place in his heart for them.
A service to honor Bill's life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 11:00 am at Murray Hill United Methodist Church, located at 4101 College St, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Cancer Specialists of North Florida in memory of Bill Stuart.

I remember Bill (Billy) as a child at Avondale Methodist Church. His mother was one of my Sunday School Teachers. Because our mothers were involved at church we often played in small groups with other "church kids". He was a good kid. Prayers for family and loved ones. Praise God for parents that took us to church and gave us a good foundational faith base.

Bill was a hard-working battery Man that's the highest compliment you can pay someone in our industry I remember many times sharing memories and spending time together at Walt Disney world especially the Rose and crown pub.Jina and I wish only the best to Christine,Grant,and Eric and may the good Lord bless you in the days and weeks to come.
