Bill, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, found peace on September 2, 2025, at the age of 79.
Bill was known for his warm heart, unwavering devotion to family, and his ability to find joy and humor in the simple moments of everyday life. He married the absolute love of his life and spent decades making her laugh.
He served honorably in the Air National Guard and later built a successful career in the telephone industry, where his strong work ethic and keen problem-solving skills earned him deep respect.
Above all, Bill was a family man. His quiet strength and steady presence were a source of comfort and inspiration to those around him. He loved deeply and lived with integrity, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter that will live on through his family.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Ellen; son Bill (Dawn) and grandson Jack; and son Beau (Cortney) - all of whom will carry his memory forward with love and pride.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to a charity close to your heart in Bill's memory - and maybe share a laugh in his honor.

"Uncle Bill" was always a favorite of mine. His big smile and laugh made me feel loved and cared for. He and Ellen had a relationship I enjoyed and learned from. Their love of each other, their "boys" and extended family showed us all how to live. The reunions in Calvert county are great memories I will always carry. Thank you Ellen, Billy, Beau, Dawn, Courtney& Jack for sharing such a special man with us. Sending you all giant hugs! Janice Suthard
