All the Tatton family,
Bill went to Medical School with many of my Calgary friends and we did our Ph.D.s together at U of T. Without Bill's help I never would have made through oral exams. We also did part of our post doctoral work in Philadelphia at the same time.
We only learned of Bill's death from the U of A alumni magazine today.
We mourn the passing of a good friend and a great scholar. Bill has left a lasting mark on Neuro Science and Neurology.

To THE TATTON FAMILY,
How saddened we are today to hear of Bill's death. Our family friendship
goes back to the 1950's, now another link is missing from our "Golden Chain of Friendship".
"Grief like the ocean comes in waves only to recede and come again, but with it comes healing. Memories wash ashore and are bathed by the golden sun. Grab hold of those memories and let them fill the emptiness, may they bring you peace."
In friendship and with caring,
Art and Dianne (Card) Grabatin

Dear Nadine and family,
I was shocked to learn of his passing. I worked with him for two summers as a student and he had a profound influence on me. I will never forget the first day I worked with him; he took an uninvited bite out of my sandwich. Such a character! Over the rest of my time with him I learned a LOT about neuroscience and about how to be creative as a scientist. I wish we had stayed in closer contact. My sincere condolences.

Dear Nadine,
I just found out about Bill's passing. Bill was an enormously positive influence and help when I was starting my scientific career at U of T and for that I have been forever thankful. His enthusiasm and dynamic leadership laid the foundations for the Toronto Western becoming a major neuroscience centre. My sincerest condolences.

Dear Nadine, Paul, Clark, and Carren
I was shocked to hear of Bill's passing which brought back a decade of memories, many of which were shared at times with each one of you.
I hope Bill wrote his book - he had such fun teasing me about a certain quote he said he was going to put in it.
My thoughts are with you all again as I share your loss.

Nadine: our thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of Bill's family. Unfortunately Mother Nature and United Airlines combined to make it impossible for Christine & I to attend the service.

Although only meeting Dr. Tatton once or twice, I feel I've known him for the past 25 yrs. Through the stories told by Paul and Clark, he became as much apart of my inner circle as anyone.
He taught me to fire his hunting rifle 20 yrs ago...never did play the violin after that...
Please know my heart and thoughts are with the entire family..always
