TOCZEK
WILLIAM M.
Our Polish King, William M. Toczek, died gracefully on September 2, 2016, in Vermilion, Ohio, at the age of 75. He had listened to some "Oldies", had stuffed animals picked personally by his three Polish Princesses, and had his wife of 54 years, Sylvia Rose Toczek, by his side. William was preceded in death by his father, Bruno (1980). William loved his hometown in West Mifflin, PA, and was a dedicated Steelers and Pirates fan. He was a self-made man who owned his own hair salon and enjoyed serving his many customers in the community over 40 years. He was dedicated in teaching his three sons everything about growing from boys to men, from how to be a gentleman to how to fight, his joy of hunting, fishing, and playing baseball, the priorities of education in school and college, and his ever love of "Oldies" songs from the 50s and 60s, always with a story attached. He was a dedicated Husband who sacrificed greatly in his commitment to care for his Wife until his last day with us. He enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life from raising fish and parrots, riding his Harley, and his very favorite, visiting flea markets. William was full with heart and soul for family, friends and caregivers that will be deeply missed. He lived a life that he was truly happy with and he loved well. Over his last few years with us, while fighting through much pain, he displayed only love, always reserving a "wink" for his girls when we visited weekly to share milkshakes, and asking everyone else around how they were doing. We are so grateful for the time we have been able to spend with him and deeply saddened by his loss, but also relieved for him to go be with his father and his brother-in-law who was one of his best friends, and maybe also to look for Roy Orbison. Left to carry on William's spirit are his mother, Anna Toczek; sisters, Barbara Wharton and Becky Thomas; his three sons, William Toczek, Wayne Toczek and Chris Toczek; and four grandchildren, (Kyle, Kristina Rose, Ava and Waylyn). William was cremated in Ohio and his family will have a small graveside burial on Friday, September 9, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. in St. Nicholas Cemetery in West Mifflin, PA.

Dear Sylvia & family: Our sincere condolences on Bill's passing. He was not just our hair dresser but a dear friend. We drove from West Newton then from Latrobe for haircuts--we haven't had a good haircut since Bill retired. He and my husband, Ed, would talk about cruising the parking lot @ Eat-&-Park in Homestead to show off. Bill knew the Doo Wop artist of every song in his tape collection. He would escort single ladies to their cars after dark and didn't charge for this added service. He was very special to us and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Dear Sylvia and Family, Please accept my
sympathy on the passing of Bill to eternity. Bill was the best hairdresser I ever had. He was the most precise when doing my hair and made his magic wand (comb) a more attractive me. Not only did he do my hair, but he was a good listener and advisor regarding my family. He treated my late husband and my son, Michael as a true friend. My son enjoyed the talks with Bill about Boxing. Bill left good memories to a former customer and her family. Mrs. Helen Romzy, West Mifflin.
