Tory was born to Mary Caroline Kane and William E. Cole II in Seattle, Wa. Tory attended Sacred Heart Villa, Seattle Prep. 1957-1961 playing football all four years.

He attended Washington State University pledging the Sigma Chi fraternity graduating in 1965 with a BA in History and commissioned a 2nd Lt. in the USMC. Tory served in Vietnam as a Platoon Tank Commander 1966-67 with an Honorable discharge in 1968 achieving the rank of 1st Lt.

Tory practiced residential real estate in the Seattle area before moving into the commercial industrial real estate market. He became a broker and owner of his own real estate firm Cole Commercial Co.

Tory's passion was reading (history, biographies, mysteries, (especially of the 1920-30's) and always following the local and international news and all sports in particular football. He enjoyed hiking and climbing through the mountaineers club of Seattle. Tory's wit and humor, analytical thinking and great conversations will be dearly missed but NOT FORGOTTEN.

Tory is preceded in death by his younger sister Catherine Cole Miller. He is survived by his younger brother James Kane Cole and his two nieces Christina Miller, (Capt. Danny Mason USN Retd.) and their children: Aaron, Patrick, Natasha, Evangeline, and Dorthea; Stephanie and Jason Watters and their son Gavin.

A funeral mass and reception will be held at St. Joseph's Church 732-18th Ave. E, Seattle, Wa. at 10:00 on Thursday, May 4, 2023.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery 5041-35th Ave NE, Seattle, Wa. at 1:30.
