Our first cousin, and we called him Peanut...I always and only remember him with sweetness and affection. His demeanor was always loving in every way and we cherish any of the times we spend with him. Love and Peace to his family.

Bill was very much a part of my childhood. My mom, Pam Hansen, worked with him at DOC and LensCrafters in Grosse Point. I loved going to work with my mom. Bill would teach me different machines when I was old enough. We would dye blank lenses all different colors and hang them with fishing line. He would sneak block pads and lens pads inside my coats or place them on my back without me knowing. We were always playing "pranks" on each other. Or sharing candy from his secret stash in the lab. I was always excited when my mom said he was working! My heart breaks to hear a piece of my childhood is no longer with us. Bill was a very kind man. I hold my days with him and the rest of DOC/Lenscrafters, in my heart.

I worked with Bill for a few years at DOC. He was really quite a master at his job and was the go-to guy for questions and solutions.
And he was so funny! One time he put a bunch of marbles in the bed of a coworkers truck. It took her a while to figure it out. Another time I rode my bike to work and on the way home I heard a familiar sound that took me back to my childhood. Bill had affixed a card to my spokes, lol!
I will always remember him with a soft spot in my heart.
My condolences to his family and friends.

It seems as if Bill has always been a part of my life. I must have been only about 3 years old when he and my sister Mary met and married soon after. He truly treated me as a big brother would. He taught me to swim and play racquet ball. He tried to teach me to golf, but I couldn't get the hang of it. I think I lost about a dozen of his golf balls, but he didn't seem to mind much. He taught me pinochle and euchre, and I spent many nights of my youth playing with him and my sister.
I will always have my memories of Bill. He will be greatly missed.

You and Mom will always be my heroes.
You worked so hard to provide for us

I am so glad dad you and mom are now together forever!
You were always so kind on how you treated everyone.
I'll miss your little jokes and all your army stories.
