To all the Walton Family:
Words can't express my sympathies for you all. I knew William from his deliveries by Central Freight to the Brazos River Authority. We always talked about the cruises that each of us had taken, or wanted to take. He had the ability to make anyone his friend and I will always remember his kind and friendly nature. He is surely one of God's angels in heaven as he was on earth.

To the Walton family, May peace ,comfort be with you all in this moment of bereavement,Know that love surrounds all of you! and that you would except sincere sympathy of friends that have you in their deepest thoughts! We care and share in your sorrow! O.C. and Susan Beasley

Beverly,
Please accept my sincere prayers for you and your family's strength during this difficult time. I was a classmate of P.Walton(as we called him). I could not believe it when a classmate of mine called me and told me of his transition. "P" was a "bright light" in our class and on the campus. He evolved into a "bright light" to the world and now he shines in Heaven. May we all shine so brightly! God will be your strength and shield!

To the Walton Family
I heard about William "Pee Wee's" reputation of being a wonderful person before I met him. After I met him, I found out that he was more wonderful than I had been told. My friendship with him was through Central Freight Lines.
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. It seems words are so inadequate, but we wanted you to know our sympathy is with you.
We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
God bless you all.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Mrs. Beverly - I was so sorry to see this in the paper today. While I never got the opportunity to know your husband, I never heard anything but wonderful praise about him. And I know that you would have never had someone in your life like that who wasn't a great person. I am so sorry for your loss, and will pray for you and your family.

To Beverly, the Walton Family, & Dear Friends of the Walton Family,
I was so sorry and completely devastated when my sister, Barbara Pryor Iglehart, called me to tell me about William being in Hospice Care. Then my classmate and friend, Odie McCoy, contacted as many members of the “Class of 1962”, by email me the next day to inform us of his passing. Odie and I were in the Class of 1962, and Barbara, Beverly and "Pee Wee" was in the Class of 1963. One of the most unique phenomena of all of A.J. Moore High School Graduates, was it really did not matter what Class you were in, ultimately, we were all, most importantly, "Schoolmates and Moore High Lions”.
"Pee Wee" and I are a great case in point of this very rare form of “human friendship and bonding, between two schoolmates from two different classes”, that were still as close as graduating in the same class for Moore High.
I always had the greatest respect, admiration, appreciation, and "special bond" with "Pee Wee". He and his most wonderful family, and my family (The Pryors, Igleharts, Andersons, & Harrises) shared this same relationship.
William was a very unique human being. He had the amazing ability to befriend, encourage, and support people across all educational, economical, social, religious, and ethnic groups. All he wanted to know about a person was, did he/she really cared about trying to use, as much as possible, what God had given each of us in terms of talent and potential. William shared this most unusual gift with all people, no matter whether he thought you could be President of the United States or the best school custodian.
And everyone always appreciated his views of anything you would feel comfortable sharing with this wonderful man. William and my brother, Milton Pryor, who passed recently, at age 57, were the only two guys, who could just look and me, not say a single word, and I could not stop laughing for five or more minutes while gasping for air! They were so much alike to the extent; I sometimes did not know which one I was talking to!
He showed his amazing talents and awesome potential, in several successful employment positions in the "World of Work". There is no question, or doubt whatsoever, he could easily be held up as an "exemplary role model" for so many young African Americans, other young minorities, and poor people, that we just do not have enough of today.
William will always be remember for, but not limited to, his willingness to always "listen to people", who desperately needed someone to talk to. Then he would try, very intensely, to offer several "options", to what they had come to him for his advice and support. I was one of those persons he always kept up with as his "Homeboy", especially while I was a student at Wiley College, Trinity University, Our Lady of the Lake University, and the University of Texas at Austin. His intellectual abilities, insight, and vision reached across so many areas of familiarity, that he was able to share his "priceless suggestions and comments" with so many.
If anyone ever had in questions about his work record, careers, service and assistance to his fellow man, all you needed to do was simply look at the "facts" of this great man’s “Life & Legacy".
To Beverly, The Walton Family, and dear friends and supporters of "Pee Wee" Walton, I'm sure he would want to say… “Thank you so very much for sharing and caring in his life”.
The world has been made, to a great extent, a much better place to be a part of, because of his unconditional love, work, devotion, and always trying to cheer people up in his own unique way, when they needed it most, which he constantly and unselfishly gave to all of us. There has not been, and never will be, too many people who will be able to demonstrate his unique talents and gifts to his fellow man, or even more so, will have the ability to take "Pee Wee's" place.
Dwyane Bilton, Odie McCoy, Napoleon Littlefield and me, representing the Class of 1962, also want to let you know, that our class will have your family and friends, in our prayers and thoughts during this time of your great sorrow and loss.
My family's thoughts and prayers are with the Entire Walton Family and dear friends, in your time of great bereavement and mourning. May your memories of "Pee Wee" bring you comfort, knowing that William is now in Heaven and the arms of our Heavenly Father, where there is no more pain and suffering. That is exactly why He called "Pee Wee" home, on Thursday, January 3, 2008, to be with Him, and His Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer for "Eternity".
May God Continue to Bless and Keep Us Until We All Meet in Heaven for Eternity...
Respectfully,
Jimmy Lee
