I offer my sincere condolences to your family for your loss. I worked under your father in the early 1970's at UTEP in the music department. Although I was a music student, I got along better with Col. Waugh than most of the faculty in the department. I appreciated his directness, his honesty and his humor. I always thought very highly of him. God bless you all.

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers in your time of loss and sorrow. There is so little we can do. Hopefully, this will help comfort you all in some small way.
On behalf of Dan, Mike, & Chris' friends at GE Aviation in Cincinnati.

My very first-ever major accomplishment in my now lengthy lifespan was shared with Colonel Waugh on June 1st, 1962, when he presented me with my Diploma from Nurnberg (American) High School as a graduating senior, in his son Mike's class, while he was the Base Commander.
Ooooh, what a great, memorable, and slightly-sad day that was for us all.... for we knew we would likely never see most of our classmates ever again. Or, so I felt, anyway.
But, Colonel Waugh looked me in the eyes as he congratulated me on that proud moment of graduating from the Nurnberg American H.S., and I never forgot that personal moment when he made me feel... special, as a young man about to embark on his life's journey.
I have always remembered him to this day, and look at old photos from those days often ... and will share them with Mike & Bill in my email reply today.
May God rest his soul.
Our heartfelt thoughts & prayers are with all in the Waugh families today. May He comfort you in these difficult days that lay ahead for you, and help you to remember those good times you shared as a family with him, and your mother.
In Sympathy,
Terry & Yvonne Jorgensen

My father-in-law, my friend, I will miss you but I know you are with me everyday. I will fondly remember our rousing conversations about the world, the stock market and "Rush". Love, Chris
