William "Bill" Gale Weede, age 78, of Dandridge TN, went to live with the Lord on Friday March 31, 2023. He was a loving husband and father and good friend to many and will be remembered for his compassion, love and care for others.

Bill served in the Air Force in ND and worked for over 30 years for Florida Power and Light in Ormond Beach, FL before retiring in Dandridge TN with his beloved Wife. There he became an active member of the First Baptist church of Dandridge. Bill enjoyed and loved serving his community, meeting new people and playing golf. If you crossed his path, then you were friends for life.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Edna Weede; oldest son, Daryl Weede; grandson, Matthew Weede, and granddaughter, Kaylee Michelle. He is survived and dearly missed by his loving caring wife, Anne Weede of Dandridge, TN; daughter, Sherry Gayle (Ron) Jacobs of Maurertown, VA; son, Michael Scott (Isabelle) Weede of Long Beach MS; grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Jacob, Jason, and Kyle; sisters, Jackie Purkey of West VA and Jeanne Possien of FL, and many other family and friends.

A committal service with military honors will be held at the East Tennessee State Veteran Cemetery, 2200 East Gov. John Sevier Hwy, in Knoxville, on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 10:00a.m. A celebration of Bill's life luncheon will follow at the First Baptist Church of Dandridge, 951 Hwy 92 S, in Dandridge, at 11:30p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bill's memory to First Baptist church of Dandridge, P.O. So many great memories of my Uncle Bill. I´ll always remember his booming voice and strength growing up and visiting, a lot of times during holidays. You´re very loved and missed. Prayers for my aunt and cousins.

I will miss Bill as he was the most caring and loving person a sister could ever have!
He always checked up on us to make sure we were doing good! I will really miss his calls!

Anne and family I really don't have the words to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. Everything will be different now and I for one can tell you it is a daily challenge.
