Weltin, age 87, Army Vet of WWII, beloved husband of the late Doris, nee McPartlin; loving father of William (Mary), Richard (Sharon), Catherine (the late Michael) Baker and Mary (Robert) Barczak; devoted grandfather of Sr. Ann Weltin, Karen (Paul) Polzer, Stephen, Jennifer, John (Heather) and Daniel Weltin, Deborah (Kevin) Katzbeck, Diana (Michael) Brown and Michael (Amy) Weltin; cherished great-grandfather of 10; fond brother of Mary Ann (the late Kenneth) Hultman. Funeral Thursday, 10 a.m. from Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 W. Archer Ave. (Corner of Natoma) to St. Daniel the Prophet Church. Mass 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery. Member of St. Daniel St. Vincent DePaul Society, Holy Name Society, Ushers Club and Seniors Club. In lieu of flowers donations to the One Small Voice Foundation, PO Box 644, Elmhurst, IL 60126. Visitation Wednesday, 2 to 9 p.m. 773-586-7900.

I was in London when I received the news that Uncle Bill had died. He will surely be missed. I enjoyed our phone calls and admired him. May he and Aunt Doris now enjoy their eternal reward.
